THE LEADING LUXURY TRAVEL EXHIBITION
Japan will become a partner country for the third time at LTM
For the third time Japan will become a partner country of Luxury Travel Mart, taking place on February 27 and 28 at Hyatt Regency Petrovsky Park. After its first appearance at LTM in 2018, Japan has been one of its main participants, generating ever increasing interest among representatives of the tourist business of Moscow, the regions of Russia, and the CIS countries. As usual Japan will be represented in a separate Japan Lounge pavilion measuring 100 m2. More than 800 expected guests of the event will not only get acquainted with the unique tourist product of the Land of the Rising Sun, but will also be able to taste traditional Japanese tea and sweets from the Omotesenke school. The exhibition will be attended by 15 exhibitors: hosting and transport companies, hotels, as well as JAL (Japanese Airlines).
Representatives of Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau, of Shiroyama Kagoshima, Ibusuki Hakusuikan, and Aman Tokyo hotels will take part for the first time in this event. For the second consecutive year, the Japan Lounge will feature the Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau. Okinawa 's involvement as a partner is quite natural - today more and more well-off tourists choose to explore new routes and snow-white beaches of this subtropical island, with its cleanest water, underwater hot springs, caves, and unique culture. In Okinawa you can stay in excellent five star hotels, play golf, and savour Japanese haut cuisine.
Unparalleled service and famous Japanese hospitality - OMOTENASHI - all this can be experienced at five-star hotels, represented at the exhibition in the Japanese pavilion. The demanding tourist is spoilt for choice - from luxury hotels in the south of the country to the already established Aman hotels, one of which is located in one of the world 's largest megapolises - Tokyo.
Profile:
The number of Russians crossing Japan's border in 2019 increased by 26.6% year-on-year to 120,000 people, a record all-time figure. In 2018, 94,810 visitors from Russia came to Japan.
In December, 8,800 Russians visited Japan, 39.8% more than last year, when the country received just over 6,000 Russian tourists. The growth of tourist traffic is facilitated by the increase of the number flights and their frequency from the Far East, more seats in the aircraft coming from Moscow to Tokyo, the active promotion of Japan as a tourist destination at various platforms.
